Can I tell you about the best food pairing wine I’ve ever discovered? I’ve been intensively into wine for almost 20 years and I’ve never seen another that pairs so well with such a wide range of food. This’ll be our little secret, and this one fact will escalate you to a new level ofContinue reading “9 Bonus Air Miles on Auxerrois at LCBO. A big deal for a super wine (get it by the case)”
Both the trade event this afternoon and the consumer event this evening at the Westin confirm Ontario’s strengths in wine. Photo: Walter of Pelee Island with the Wine Baron in Ottawa.
2010 Vieni Aglianico Reserve, Niagara. A highly interesting wine made from this grape that originates in Campania, Italy. Fun notes of blackberries, sandalwood and white pepper. Vieni is also a distillery. Cool. Enjoying it now withThe Baroness, Ashley, and Chris Bacon at his home!
After wine, there comes… – spirits! I’ve been a wine fan for a long time. But I have not been able to resist the lure of spirits either. They got my attention and they’re winning me over. They’re fascinating and equally full of culture and lore. So with this post, I am embarking on anContinue reading “Ontario’s emerging craft distillers, a whole new ball game!”

From the attentiveness of all the staff and Mozifian family to the wow-tasting food, fine wines, and beautiful decor, this is a winner. Wines range from Austrian to Italian to Lake Erie North Shore. Can’t wait to go back with more people. – Posted using MobyPicture.com
An astoundingly popular varietal, this wine is less austere than many PGs. It displays enjoyable fruity tones of fresh, ripe honeydew melon, smoky pear and a hint of apple on a crisp finish. Enjoyed it at Allens Restaurant on Danforth in Toronto. My favourite English Pub.
