Enjoying some fine beers just now from Bicycle Craft Brewery. A friend recently told me about them. Located in Ottawa, you can visit and enjoy several brews at their tap room. Thankfully, they’re also gradually making available 4 of the most popular products to LCBO stores across the province. If you don’t see their products in your local store, you can request them, by the way.
At the brewery, they usually have six to eight different beers available. The folks at LCBO have made four of them live in their system:
- Velocipede IPA – a distinctive West Coast style IPA. Unfiltered. Light hazy copper color. Medium body. Vibrant hops.
- On the Lam IPA – New England style IPA. Aggressively hopped with Mosaic and Citra. Juicy hop flavours of pineapple, mango, tropical fruit and citrus. Double dry hopped for a big aroma.
- Happy Robot IPA – New England style IPA. What a fun label! Bold aromas & major hop flavours. Tropical fruit forward. Brewed with hop accentuating yeast. Generously dry hopped.
- Stubborn Cardinal NEIPA – A New England style unfiltered hazy pale ale made with Citra, El Dorado, and Columbus hops for a more complex, tropical and citrusy flavor profile. This amazing brew is a Spring 2025 seasonal beer.
Some of the most attractive labels in the beer business! The beautiful cans are a foretaste of what’s inside. Great beer.
I heartily recommend all of Bicycle’s beers. They are exceptional.
Every one of Bicycle Craft Brewery’s beers is a home run. Founded by Laura and Fariborz Behzadi, the wife and husband team do the brewing. They’ve got talent. They’ve been brewing since 2014, and like to say, “it’s worth the ride.”

Enticing tropical fruit notes and lychee. Unfiltered. Fresh, hazy look and feel. Brewed with Citra, El Dorado, and Columbus hops. A bright beer, and a great find!
You can visit their tap room, stay for a beer and snacks, or purchase beers and merchandise from their retail boutique. You can also order online. Their lineup is strong in various styles of IPA and creative new offerings are always being added. Laura and Fariborz love creating something new.
