This annual event is held at LCBO store #495
(615 Scottsdale Drive, Guelph, On),
Saturday, May 26, 2012.
From noon to 4 PM.
Being VINTAGES release day, we anticipate an enthusiastic customer turnout.
Wineries will be featuring multiple styles of Riesling, from dry and off – dry.
Homemade trophies will be awarded for the winner in each of the two categories, dry and off-dry.
Local food purveyors involved:
Chartelli’s Fine Cheeses, (Local Cheese),
Quican Inc.(With his own line of artisan breads Quentessentials.)
Delta Guelph Hotel ( Local matching fare),
and Planet Bean (100% Organic, Fair Trade coffee).
and sparkling water.
Participating customers will pay a $10 admission fee.
This gets you four tasting tickets.
Charitable Partnership
The collected admission goes directly to Bracelet of Hope
(Canadian Registered Charitable number 837390947RR0001) Braceletofhope.ca
Participating consumer will also receive a bracelet, which symbolize hope; one country reaching out to another and both transformed by the experience. Bracelet of Hope is an example of international cooperation, a project aimed to assist Lesotho in overcoming its AIDS pandemic.
Dr. Anne-Marie Zajdlik, recipient of the Order of Ontario, an HIV physician in Guelph, Ontario co-ordinates the Bracelet of Hope project. In 2005, she founded and now directs the Masai Centre for Local, Regional and Global Health, in response to the growing numbers of HIV/AIDS patients in the Guelph area. She is a regional HIV specialist.
